Position Purpose:
Responsible for all the direct (concept development, tests, resources organisation, etc) and indirect (development tools, software, theoretical studies, release, etc) activities concerning the algorithm to be implemented in mass production
Qualifications
Education and/or experience:
BSEE/BSME required; MSEE preferred
Basic Statistics
Good understanding of project management
Organizational and leadership skills
Minimum 2 years relevant automotive experience
Good working knowledge of Microsoft tools and office software
Good working knowledge of control systems, algorithms and calibrations
Responsibilities: (essential duties)
Overall technical responsibility for the algorithm of a program or programs (customer related or internal) from start up phase to launch +3 months. Will work with System Engineer to design and develop the algorithm within an IEE System.
Gather, analyse and amend algorithm specifications.
Calibration of system using statistical analysis and problem solving techniques.
Develop specific program Engineering tools:
Algorithm technical risk assessment and management.
Algorithm documentation (specs, flowcharts, etc).
Maintain algorithm component due care and lessons learned file.
Create and issue component development status and reports.
Create and maintain the algorithm evolution list.
Participate in Gate and Design Reviews
Authority
Leads identified algorithm support personnel with supervision (Test subjects, Test lab…)
Interact with customers and suppliers as required.
Create and manage algorithm design, development, calibration, validation and timing.
Release algorithm and calibration as needed to meet customer requirements.
Ordering of technical documentation, new materials and new products which aid current development activities.
