The SRS Engineering Department has an immediate opening for a Senior Mechanical Designer. Responsibilities include generation of AutoCAD engineering drawings and P&ID’s, reviewing/updating existing engineering drawings, analyzing designs, seeking information and solutions to support and complete engineering projects and project management. These functions will occur on-site at our customer's facilities as well as in the home office. This position manages multiple projects at a time and works with the rest of the Engineering team to support SRS’s traditional separation technologies business as well as those projects that expand the company’s horizons. The majority of time will be spent on project management with AutoCAD work being secondary depending on business needs.

Candidates MUST have a minimum of an Associates degree in a mechanical/industrial related field. A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred. Proficiency in hands on AutoCAD drafting (version 2007 proficiency preferred), P&ID generation and BOM generation are required. Real world experience in large scale project support/development is critical to this position. Project Management experience and skills are also critical to success in this role. Attention to detail, solid communication skills and the ability to take a task from general concept to completion are a must. Site construction experience/project supervision, significant chemical/mechanical separation background, experience generating P&ID’s for designer/contractor of environmental plants, chemical plants or waste water treatment plants and/or having worked for a company that manufactured industrial fluid handling equipment would be a huge plus and may make you a perfect fit.
